Air Conditioning...

The first time I recognized that there was this wonderful thing called Air Conditioning, aka A.C., was when my little cousin (well, she's nearly 20 now) was about 4 years old and she was heating up in the back of my aunts mini van. She pipes up and asks, rather, demands that the "A.C." get turned up. I, at the time, did not know what "A.C." stood for and soon realized that there was a name for the air setting which made the car cold. Did i understand it? No. Did I appreciate it? Yes. Did I take it for granted? Absolutely.

See, I've spent many a summer out in some form of Mother Nature like at camp or on Leatherneck, or NOLS Yokon. I have been very sweaty during the day. I have enjoyed the dew in the morning which makes your clothes soggy until the sun comes out. However, I have never, ever ever ever fallen victim of ~80% humididty inside and out. I NEVER stop sweating. EVER. My face is always beaded with sweat. I sleep with a towel on my pillow so i dont sweat through my pillow case. Its pretty sweet. Often it feels similar to the way it does after a 3 mile hump with a load in 95 degree heat and similar humidity.

What I'm trying to say is, enjoy what you have. Take care of it. It will go away eventually- both ways. It'll break and you wont have it any more (for the cynics) , or the suffering will subside and you wont have to mentally focus on it anymore (for the optimists) just like I know our A.C. will kick back on some time....eventually. Send fan's!

OK, well, i'm sweating through my shirt and i still have laundry to do. I'm outty
