The New Focus

Ok, so its been a while. I realize my last post before this said I was back. Well, life got busy and I never really came back. I thought about it though. I'm going to change this up a bit. I think its bout time to let people in on this thing. Sure, I was kinda embarrased that I had a blog, but anyone would be who really doesn't have a purpose for one of these things. I was originally just posting workouts and and showing you (me) little glimpses into my life, and essentially this turned into a diary...sweet...no thats lame, at least for a nearly 23 year old male. OK, this is now going to be my "Keep People Updated on My Life because I Might Be Too Lazy/Busy to Call Everyone" blog.

My intentions are to keep people as updated as possible on my life at TBS, maybe some personal, and just let you guys have a bit of a grasp on what I'm doing.

This whole thing started rather randomly towards the end of my season in February. Its name, although it may sound a bit cocky, came from my personal squash coach/good friend who has helped push me and mold me into the squash player I am and helped me become the best athlete I could. We were half way up that 1000 foot climb, just over 2 miles into our 5 mile run which started at 8000 feet, when I asked him why I was doing this run. The climb is 1000 feet, spread over 1 mile. It was brutal. Oh, and there are rocks, streams, and people who you have to climb, jump, and dodge. Damon, as he is cruising along in front of me, just says, "because you're you," and scampers off.  That was it. Thats what pushed me and continues to push me to get better. I'm no physical specimen, but I like to push myself. Maybe thats why I'm becoming a Marine.

We'll hope you all enjoy. Feel free to comment.
